So … you’ve just finished reading a book. For the sake of the discussion, we’ll say it was everything a book should be—engaging, entertaining, interesting, thought-provoking. The kind you want to gush over. The question is—do you immediately move on to your next book? Or do you take time to contemplate this writerly masterpiece and all its associated thoughts/emotions/ideas for a while first? – Booking Through Thursday
If the book was as incredible as we are making it out to be, or even if it was just a really great book that pulled me in, I feel bad for the next book I read. Like, it doesn’t really stand a chance because I am still high off the last book. Most often I will give myself a day or 2 before I dive into the next one, though sometimes I just wanna be pulled back into a world so I don’t have be bummed that the book I just finished is over, that I will instantly dive into a book. I suppose I am not really consistent with what I do, it depends far more on my current mood.
I will recommend the book and it will usually end up in my Monthly Book Favorites or if I cannot wait for that I will do a Friday blog entry on it.
