Author: Adele Griffin
Summary: LOUD. There was an accident. Ember knows at least that much. She was driving. The car was totaled. She suffered back injuries and brain trauma. But she is alive. That’s the only thing left she can cling to.
AWAKE. Eight months later, Ember feels broken. The pieces of her former self no longer fit together. She can’t even remember the six weeks of her life leading up to the accident. Where was she going? Who was she with? And what happened during those six weeks that her friends and family won’t talk about?
LOST. One by one, Ember discovers the answers to these questions, like a twisted game of dominos. And little by little, the person she used to be slips further and further away. – Goodreads
Why I Love: There is nothing not to love with this book. It is really-truly-honestly that fantastic! I had read good things (various reviews off Goodreads) about this book yet for some reason I wasn’t overly eager to read. With past history these books that I sorta have to push to read seem to be my favorite. I don’t know if I just go in with low expectations or what it is, but I’m really loving this trend. So…if you are like me where you have this book but have yet to pick up and read do yourself a favor and READ!
My absolute favorite thing about this book was that I completely was not expecting the ending. During the whole book I did not piece anything together. I won’t say too much because I try to keep my reviews spoiler free; but seriously I love when I don’t piece books together but in the end it all works and makes sense.
A very compelling read, full of characters and a plot that keeps you engaged; you all know how much I love strong characters that are developed. If these are what all of Griffin’s characters are like then sign me up to read more from her.
