Lose 10 lbs in 3 Days??

I follow Wing AKA Diva Makeup Queen on YouTube and she recently posted a video about how to lose 10 lbs in 3 days. At first I was skeptical because really?? In 3 days? Do we not eat for 3 days, go on a fast?? But after watching the video and seeing the results I became intrigued. Three days does not seem like a long time and you still get to eat. What I like most about this is that it is not a life-style change. You are not having to do this for weeks to get the results and really I like how this is just a quick weight loss, or at least for me. I don’t have a huge amount I want to lose just a little bit of holiday weight, curse you delicious carbs and wine!

I did the diet from Tuesday – Thursday and here are my results.

In total I have lost: 5lbs

Diet instructions:
Note – Drink water throughout the day!

First Day:

  • Black coffee or tea
  • 1/2 grapefruit
  • 1 slice of toast with 2 tablespoons of peanut butter

Soooo much peanut butter! The desire for a glass of milk was strong! But the grapefruit really cut the peanut butter which was helpful and I got to drink my morning cup of coffee so that was a win! All around I have to say this was good. I was worried how I’d feel about the grapefruit but it was pretty good, granted I do like bitter and tart drinks. So far feeling good! (Ps I forgot to add my cup of coffee in the picture above, sorry)


  • 1/2 cup of tuna
  • 1 slice toast
  • coffee or tea

Not going to lie, mentally I was starving. I am somewhat like a child, when I know I cannot eat I want to eat. Much like when you have to take blood work and for some reason you feel like a contestant off of Survivor-starting! so I ate slowly to draw out the food and trick my brain into thinking I had eaten lots. It worked!  I added the tuna on top of the toast, like a tuna melt but without the gooey cheese. 😦 But the gooey cheese is not going to help ‘melt’ the weight off. Hopefully this does!


  • 2 slices of any type of meat (or 3 ounces)
  • 1 cup of string beans
  • 1 cup of beets
  • 1 small apple
  • 1 cup of vanilla ice cream

I was quite hungry by the end of the day. Though, it was more mental than actual hunger. Because I cannot eat, I want to eat! This meal was so delicious and I am not talking about just the ice cream! The beans and beets were fantastic! Veggies have never tasted so fantastic!


Second Day:

  • 1 egg
  • 1 slice toast
  • 1/2 banana
  • coffee or tea

This was a really delicious breakfast! I hard boiled my egg and ate it on top of my toast. Ended the meal with my 1/2 banana. I won’t comment on the coffee, because all you addicts know it was yummy! All around a good amount and I did enjoy this more than yesterdays! The peanut butter was good but the desire for milk was crazy strong. This breakfast was a fantastic start to my day!


  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • 5 saltine crackers

I. Hate. Cottage. Cheese. This was the hardest thing I had to eat so far! But for those that love cottage cheese, yay for you. A whole cup of this was not pleasanst! The crackers were fantastic, I saved them for last!



  • 2 hotdogs
  • 1 cup broccoli
  • 1/2 cup carrots
  • 1/2 banana
  • 1/2 cup vanilla ice cream

Plain hotdogs are not as yummy as they are with carbs and sauce! But the broccoli was delicious! It is weird that all the dinners so far have seemed like so much! At times almost hard to finish.


Third Day:

  • 5 saltine crackers
  • 1 slice cheddar cheese
  • 1 small apple
  • black coffee or tea

This was a sad little breakfast, really sad. But on the last day you are willing to do whatever it takes for that final day!


  • 1 hard boiled egg
  • 1 slice toast

Sorry there was no picture. I was running out the door and quickly made my lunch and then raced out.  I was so hungry this afternoon and this really did nothing to help ease the hungry. But like I said about the breakfast, this is the last day so you do what you need to do.


  • 1 cup tuna
  • 1 cup beets
  • 1 cup cauliflower
  • 1/2 cantaloupe
  • 1/2 cup vanilla ice cream

This was a crazy amount of food! A cup of tuna is a lot! A really big portion! And I have never really noticed how dry tuna is until I had to eat a cup of this! Definitely the most amount of food and the hardest to finish. What was weird that while I was eating this and even after I felt extremely full but still had hunger pains. Weird feeling!

Final Thoughts: I have never dieted before because I’ve never liked the restrictions you have. I was drawn to this one because of the low commitment. They say you can do this up for a month so three days on and four days off; you can potentially lose up to 40 lbs. But for me the three days was perfect I lost the holiday weight and now I’ll go back to my clean eating and working out. This was the perfect little boost I needed!

“Diet works on chemical breakdown and is proven. Do not vary or substitute any of the above foods. Salt and pepper may be used, no other seasonings. This diet is to be used 3 days at a time.

In 3 days you will lose 10 pounds, after 3 days of dieting you can eat your normal foods, but do not overeat. After your normal days of eating, start back on your three days. You can lose up to 40 pounds a month if you stick to this diet.

It is a safe diet!!!! Remember do not snack between meals.”

  1. Interesting! I like the low commitment level of 3 days, and 5 pounds is amazing! 😀 I enjoyed your honesty about being hungry, but heck, for 3 days? Much more doable than “You may never eat gooey cheese again.” LoL on the Survivor comment! I’ve always said I’d like to try the Survivor diet of rice, water, and teensy tiny fish! Seems to work well for the contestants! 😉

    • Such a fan of low commitment; for this type of stuff. It is really perfect for before vacays or after the holidays.

      Honesty in these things are important, so thanks! There are hunger pains, but it was worth it in the end.

      I am a big Survivor nerd! And have often thought the same thing. But I would need to play the game to do the diet!
